What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is anytime after 4 PM — your code activates right at 4:00. Check-out is by 11 AM. Need an early arrival or late departure? Ask at least three days ahead and we can sometimes accommodate ($50/hour, when the cleaning schedule allows).
Is there parking?
Yes — private driveway parking off Utica Street, with 2 designated guest spaces by the garage. Additional vehicles can park on 4th Street right beside the home.
Can we bring our dog?
We're not able to allow pets of any kind — the antiques and this old house just aren't set up for it. Service animals are always welcome as provided by law; just let us know in advance.
How many can stay?
The house sleeps up to six, but it truly lives best with four — that's what the single bath and the 1866 proportions were made for. Guests beyond four are $50 per person, per night, and everyone staying must be on the registration.
Is the whole house ours?
Your stay includes exclusive use of the expansive front residence — three bedrooms, the full bath, kitchen, living spaces, and that porch. The rear unit of the building is a separate residence with a long-term tenant, entirely apart from your space.
Are there stairs?
Yes — all three bedrooms and the bath are on the second floor, reached by the original 1866 staircase. It's part of the home's character, but worth knowing: the home is not ADA accessible, and some railings sit lower than modern standards.
Is anything monitored?
Exterior security cameras cover the porch, parking, and walkways, and 2 Airbnb-approved Minut devices monitor noise and smoke indoors — it alerts, never records, so your conversations are entirely your own. Quiet hours are 11 PM–8 AM.
What's provided?
More than you'd expect: a full coffee bar (French press, drip, burr grinder, Nespresso with complimentary pods), Taylors tea, a few snacks, laundry with detergent supplied, iron and steamer, and a kitchen equipped for real cooking. Bring clothes and groceries; we've handled the rest.
Why is the house shoes-off?
A century and a half of floors deserve the courtesy — and honestly, the house feels better in socks. Leave footwear at the side entry; slippers welcome, especially in winter.
Do you host longer stays?
Happily — the house works beautifully for extended and corporate stays up to 28 days, with a dedicated workspace, serious Wi-Fi, and preferred rates for longer bookings. Reach out and we'll build it around your needs.
